Description

The Metra Electronics RL3040 is an economy 12-volt relay designed for a variety of automotive applications. It features a 30/40 amp rating, meaning it can handle up to 30 amps on the normally closed circuit and 40 amps on the normally open circuit.

This relay functions as an electrically operated switch. Current flowing through its coil creates a magnetic field that attracts a lever, changing the state of the contacts to control power flow. It is suitable for use with alarms, remote starts, HID and fog lights, and stereo installations.
