The Unitronic ECU and TCU Performance Software is an engine and transmission tuning solution for the S3 2.0 TSI.

This software offers optimized responsiveness, drivability, smoothness, and comfort. It also features factory safety limiters retained and engine temperature protection. The speed governor is removed, and power delivery is optimized throughout the power band, with improved fuel efficiency.

The Unitronic ECU and TCU Performance Software is a finely tuned engine and transmission control module designed to enhance the performance of the 2.0 TSI Gen3 MQB engine. Stage 1 ECU software is designed for a completely stock vehicle, optimizing responsiveness, drivability, and fuel efficiency while retaining factory safety limiters and engine temperature protection. It also removes the speed governor. Stage 1+ ECU software builds upon Stage 1 by precisely calibrating ignition timing for higher octane fuel, offering further improvements in performance and fuel efficiency. It includes all Stage 1+ tune variants and lower software stages. Stage 2 ECU software is engineered for use with an upgraded exhaust system and includes all Stage 2 tune variants and lower software stages. It features exhaust overrun/crackle capabilities and requires a Unitronic Performance Downpipe. Recommended hardware for Stage 2 includes a carbon fiber intake system, charge pipe upgrade, and intercooler upgrade. For all stages, a UniConnect+ cable is required to flash the software and is assigned to a single vehicle, making it non-transferable and non-refundable. Recommended hardware for Stages 1 and 1+ includes a carbon fiber intake system and an MQB turbo inlet elbow.
