ECU Modification

The Hondata S300V3 is an engine control unit (ECU) modification designed to fit inside compatible OBD1 Honda ECUs, expanding tuning capabilities significantly. It supports advanced features like direct ethanol content sensor connection without an analyzer, Bluetooth for wireless datalogging and programming from laptops or mobile devices, and CAN support. New in V3 are an RS232 interface for dashboards like AiM MXL and Racepak IQ3, along with advanced engine protection and a white circuit board. Key functionalities include real-time ECU updating while the engine is running, comprehensive datalogging to the SManager software via USB with 2MB of onboard memory for 20-60 minutes of data, and adjustability for different injector sizes with overall fuel trim. The system is configurable for MAP sensors up to 5 Bar and above, supports TPS-based table lookup for individual throttle bodies, and offers engine protection from over-boost. It provides expanded fuel and ignition tables, capable of handling up to 60 lbs of boost and 11,000 RPM. Additional features include launch control with anti-lag, full-throttle shifting, three multi-purpose outputs for nitrous control or similar, PWM output for boost control, dual tables for different octane calibrations, and two analog inputs for wideband O2 sensors or EGTs. Installation requires modification of the ECU itself, including different connecting pins and a slot for the USB connector. The S300V3 is designed to fit full-frame ECU cases found in US and most markets; it will not fit in JDM ECU cases, for which the Hondata S300J is required. Professional installation is strongly recommended due to the complexity and risk of damaging the ECU, especially if it has been previously socketed.
