ECU Replacement Module

The Stinger Performance PiMPxs is a standalone engine control unit, powered by MS3 firmware, offering a user-friendly and capable solution for Ford EEC-IV (OBD-1) vehicles from approximately 1983-1995. This system completely replaces the stock ECU, fitting into the factory ECU hanger and connecting to the stock harness. It enables the removal of restrictive factory components such as the MAF/VAM, EGR, and Smog Pump, while also supporting modern ignition upgrades like coil-near-plug systems. This unit is designed for direct plug-and-play installation in many factory-equipped sequential EFI applications, including 86-95 V8 Mustangs and 94-95 Mass-Air V8 F-Series/Bronco. It can also be adapted for factory batch fire applications aiming for sequential EFI conversion, though wiring and ignition system modifications are required. The PiMPxs facilitates the deletion of the factory air meter, improving performance, particularly on 2.3T engines. For non-stock ignition systems or fueling strategies, additional wiring modifications may be necessary. The PiMPxs ECU comes with essential software, including TunerStudioMS tuning software and MegaLogViewer datalogging software, along with a USB tuning cable and startup guides. It requires a Windows-based laptop, a wideband O2 sensor controller, and potentially an ACT or VSS sensor if not factory equipped. This product is not for on-road use in vehicles that are required to be emissions compliant.
