The Weistec Trunk Ice Tank V2 is a trunk-mounted water tank upgrade engineered for M156 and M113 Supercharged Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including the G55 AMG Base (W463) with the 5.5L V8 (M113K) engine from 2006-2012. This upgrade provides extended heat dissipation capabilities in various climates and allows for the strategic addition of ice to the intercooler system. By chilling the air charge temperature as it enters the intake path, it can enhance engine performance. The tank boasts a substantial 6 US Gallon capacity and features a large mouth fill port for easy ice addition. Constructed from Precision TIG Welded Aluminum, the system includes aerospace-grade fittings, wiring, and lines for straightforward installation on both Weistec and factory supercharger systems. It also incorporates a Johnson CM90 pump for consistent flow and a convenient 3/4″ high-flow water lines. For quick maintenance, the tank is equipped with an easy-access ball valve drain system.
