ECU Tuning Service

The Chaos Calibrations MS43NA ECU tune is a remote tuning service aimed at optimizing performance for naturally aspirated BMWs equipped with the MS43 ECU. This service offers multiple stages of tuning, from Stage 0+ which enables sport-oriented options without power tuning, up to Stage 4 for heavily modified engines including upgraded cams and cylinder head work. Customers can expect improved drivability, smoother power delivery, and increased power and torque, with Stages 1-3 targeting approximately a 5% increase in whp and a 10% increase in wtq. Customization options allow for significant personalization of the driving experience. Users can select from various rev limiter styles, including aggressive options that can produce flames and pops with a catless exhaust. Throttle adjustments range from OEM+ enhancements to aggressive, snappy pedal feel. The system also supports thermostat setpoint adjustments for cooler engine operation, increased idle RPM to mitigate vibration from lightweight flywheels or stiffer mounts, and the "Ghost Cam" idle feature for a choppy idle sound. Pops and bangs during deceleration can be enabled with varying aggression levels, and launch control with a 2-step rev limiter is available for manual transmissions. The tuning process is conducted remotely. After purchase, customers receive an email with software download and instructions. The user will need a Windows laptop or Android device and a K+DCAN OBD2 cable to back up their current ECU file and upload the custom tune provided by Chaos Calibrations. Support is available via email and the CCFlash Mobile app. It is important to note that some features, such as aggressive rev limiter styles and pops and bangs with flames, require a catless exhaust system and may not be legal for emissions testing. The EWS delete is also available as an option.
