ECUMaster Engine Management System

It serves as the successor to the proven ECUMaster EMU and is commonly applied in modified race cars, passenger cars, motorcycles, boats, and stationary engine applications. The EMU Black integrates numerous advanced features directly into its compact CNC aluminum enclosure. These include a built-in 4-bar MAP sensor capable of reading up to 43 pounds of boost, an integrated wideband controller for Bosch 4.2 or 4.9 sensors, six high-current ignition drivers supporting up to 12 smart coils for waste spark, two EGT inputs, and on-board CAN and serial communication. It also features on-board Drive-by-Wire control, providing a wide range of control with advanced algorithm reliability and failsafe provisions. The firmware is easily upgradeable, ensuring access to new strategies, trigger patterns, and CAN-Bus data streams over time. Key specifications include an operating temperature range of -40 to 105C (AECQ100 Grade 2), built-in reverse polarity and short-circuit protection, and an operating voltage range of 6-22V with resistance to transients per ISO 7637. The unit is housed in an IP60 rated CNC aluminum enclosure measuring 150x72x31mm and weighing 390g. It utilizes 1x24 and 1x39 FCI specification electrical connectors and offers PC communication via USB, serial, and CAN-Bus. The EMU Black provides 8 injector outputs (5A protected, low side, high impedance), 6 ignition outputs (15A rated), and 6 auxiliary low-side outputs (5A protected). Additionally, it features full-bridge outputs rated to 7 Amps and a WBO heater output rated to 5A. Input capabilities are extensive, including 9 protected analog inputs (0-5V, 10-bit resolution), 2 EGT inputs (Type K thermocouple), 2 knock sensor inputs, and integrated support for Bosch LSU 4.2/4.9 or narrowband lambda probes. It also has 3 trigger inputs (Hall/VR), 1 vehicle speed sensor input, and a dedicated Flex Fuel Sensor input, along with 3 switched inputs. The system supports various sensors for temperature, pressure, lambda, and frequency, and offers advanced tuning strategies for fuel, ignition, idle control, drive-by-wire, traction control, boost control, and variable valve timing. It also includes engine protection features for lean conditions, over-temperature, low oil pressure, low fuel pressure, and high EGT. The EMU Black also supports CAN bus communication with multiple vehicle protocols and includes features like autotune and a built-in oscilloscope.
