The Edelbrock Max-Fire distributor (part No. 22759) is a ready-to-run upgrade for ignition systems in 1961-1980 Buick 215-350 V-8 engines. It's ideal for replacing or upgrading from points-triggered distributors. It features precision machining for a perfect fit and a simple three-wire hookup for easy installation without an external ignition control box. The centerless ground shaft utilizes an upper sealed roller bearing with an extra-long lower bronze Oil-Lite bushing for smooth operation. A high-output magnetic pickup and large paddle wheel reluctor deliver a strong trigger signal at high RPM for maximum performance, ensuring unrivaled voltage to the coil. Edelbrock recommends a new Max-Fire coil for maximum voltage output. Each distributor includes a cap, rotor, retainer, and a mechanical advance curve kit.
