The ThunderMax 309-589 is an award-winning, performance ECM replacement for EFI-equipped Harley Davidson motorcycles. This advanced, stand-alone tuning system features proprietary AutoTune technology that interfaces with wide-band oxygen sensors to automatically adjust a wide range of throttle positions and RPMs, delivering unmatched performance and driveability. Simply load a map and experience a transformed ride. Installation is straightforward, involving a plug-in replacement of the factory module and oxygen sensors. The TMax Tuner software offers hundreds of base maps, dyno-developed on real motorcycles, which can be easily selected and loaded. The AutoTune system then fine-tunes idle and warm-up settings. During every ride, the Wave Tune AutoTune continuously analyzes air/fuel ratios via the wide-band oxygen sensors, making real-time adjustments to injector pulse width to maintain the desired air/fuel ratio under varying conditions. While not requiring a dyno for basic tuning, the system is dyno-friendly for experienced tuners, offering live-tuning capabilities and real-time monitoring. The software allows adjustment of numerous parameters, including idle speed, rev limit, ignition timing, AFR targets, and more. The system is designed to adapt as engine modifications are made, with software, firmware, and map updates accessible 24/7 online. The ThunderMax system includes the ECM, two 18mm wide-band oxygen sensors with harness, a communication cable, software disc, and instructions. It is engineered and manufactured in the USA and backed by a 3-year factory limited warranty. Note that the factory exhaust typically uses 12mm narrow-band sensors, while this system requires 18mm sensors; 18mm bungs may need to be added to aftermarket exhaust systems.
