EFR 6258 Turbocharger

The BorgWarner EFR 6258 is a high-performance turbocharger known for its compact design and quick spool characteristics, making it ideal for single turbo applications where space is limited. It features a 49.6mm compressor wheel inducer and supports a maximum flow rate of 44 lb/min, capable of handling up to 450 horsepower. Key technical specifications include a low inertia Gamma-Ti turbine wheel, which significantly reduces rotational inertia for faster response. The turbine outlet is a GT-Vband type (approximately 92mm OD), while the compressor housing has a 2.5″ inlet and a 2.0″ hose coupler outlet. The EFR series also incorporates an integrated blow-off valve (BOV). This turbocharger is praised for its ability to deliver boost early in the RPM range, with full boost often achieved by 2700 RPM in some applications, offering near-instantaneous response at higher engine speeds.
