The MPx EGR Delete/Block Off Kit is designed for the 95-99 Neon 2.0L SOHC. This kit deletes the EGR system and blocks off the ports on the intake manifold and cylinder head. It includes 11-gauge 304 stainless steel block-off plates for both the intake manifold and cylinder head, along with Viton and stainless gaskets, and flange head bolts.

The MPx EGR Delete/Block Off Kit is engineered to remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system from your 1995-1999 Dodge Neon equipped with the 2.0L SOHC engine. The EGR system recirculates exhaust gases into the intake manifold to reduce emissions, but this process can lead to decreased horsepower and carbon buildup in the long term. This kit provides a comprehensive solution by blocking off the EGR ports on both the intake manifold and the cylinder head. It features robust construction with 11-gauge 304 stainless steel plates for durability and resistance to heat. Installation involves removing the stock EGR components and installing the provided block-off plates. This modification aims to improve engine performance by preventing the recirculation of hot exhaust gases, which can lead to a cooler intake charge and potentially increase horsepower. It also helps to maintain a cleaner intake system, reducing the risk of carbon deposits on valves and in the combustion chamber. A specific note for early 1995 Neon SOHC owners with aluminum manifolds: this kit is not compatible due to the DOHC-style EGR flanges on those specific manifolds. For those vehicles, the DOHC EGR blockoff kit should be purchased instead.
