The SPELAB EGR Valve Cooler Delete Kit is engineered to enhance the performance and reliability of 2017-2025 L5P 6.6L Duramax Diesel GMC Sierra 2500/3500 HD and Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 HD trucks. Constructed from solid carbon steel, this kit boasts a material upgrade over previous aluminum alloy designs, increasing maximum temperature resistance from 600 to 1,500 degrees Celsius for superior high-temperature strength. By effectively preventing soot buildup and EGR valve clogging, this delete kit ensures that fresh, dense air circulates within the engine, rather than reintroducing hot exhaust gases. This improvement in exhaust flow allows the turbocharger to spool up faster, resulting in quicker throttle response and enhanced overall engine efficiency. Installation is designed to be straightforward for DIY mechanics, typically taking approximately 2 hours with basic hand tools. **Important Note:** When installing an EGR delete kit, a DPF delete capable tuner is required to prevent check engine lights or diagnostic trouble codes from being triggered.
