The GetaDomTune Cylinder 4 Chamber Cooling System is an industry-first, patent-pending kit engineered to enhance the reliability of Subaru DOHC EJ engines. By increasing coolant flow specifically to the Cylinder 4 combustion chamber in the LH head, this system effectively mitigates detonation-causing hot spots, reduces Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) delta, and improves overall cooling system performance. This targeted approach is crucial for engines where Cylinder 4 is particularly susceptible to pre-detonation. Constructed with high-grade components, the kit features a durable silicone hose capable of handling elevated cylinder and coolant temperatures, a stainless pinch clamp, a custom-machined and anodized 6061 fitting, and an aluminum alloy 5/8 T. Fastening is secured with 316SS or 304SS embossed worm clamps, depending on market availability. The package includes comprehensive instructions and necessary galley plug/water pump components. This cooling system is designed for a direct fit on a range of Subaru models, including the 2002-2014 WRX, 2004-2021 STI, 2004-2008 Forester XT, and 2005-2009 Legacy GT. Installation is described as straightforward, with users noting the improved bend of the hose and the quality of materials. Some installation recommendations include using Permatex sealant and having a deep 1-inch socket or 3/8 crows foot, along with a long extension for the plug fitting. Fresh coolant is also recommended during installation.
