EJ-Series Intercooler Y-Pipe Kit

The OEM Y-pipe is a known restriction point due to its smaller internal diameter and less optimized merge geometry, which can limit airflow to the intercooler, especially at higher boost levels. This kit offers a solution with its one-piece aluminum casting, machined for perfectly flat flanges and precise fitment. The design aims to balance airflow, distributing charge air evenly to the top mount intercooler's inlet end tank. It utilizes 5-ply, fiber-reinforced silicone couplers designed to maintain their shape under high boost while isolating the TMIC assembly from engine vibrations. The turbo outlet coupler is slightly oversized for trimming to fit various stock-location turbo setups. The GrimmSpeed Y-Pipe Kit is compatible with 2004-2021 Subaru STI models (with factory or GrimmSpeed TMIC), 2002-2007 Subaru WRX models (with STI or GrimmSpeed TMIC), 2004-2008 Subaru Forester XT (with STI or GrimmSpeed TMIC), and 2004-2006 Subaru Baja XT (with STI or GrimmSpeed TMIC). The kit includes the black TMIC Y-pipe, couplers, clamps, and necessary hardware.
