This engine block features a semi-closed deck design, which enhances its strength and durability, making it a suitable upgrade for various WRX models. This unit is a fully assembled bottom end, comprising the block, crankshaft, connecting rods, and pistons. It is important to note that this is not a complete engine; you will need to utilize your existing stock cylinder heads or acquire new ones separately. For applications requiring significant power output, it is advisable to consider replacing the cast OEM pistons with Mahle Forged OEM-size units for improved performance and longevity. Physically, this motor is designed as a direct bolt-in for all WRX and STi models.
