EJ257 V3 Closed Deck Long Rod Short Block

The Outfront Motorsports Closed Deck EJ257 V3 Long Rod Short Block is engineered for high-horsepower applications, utilizing a V3 closed deck process that reinforces the combustion area with billet material to eliminate the risks associated with traditional sleeved blocks. By retaining the stock sleeves, the design prevents common failures like dropped sleeves and coolant pushing under extreme cylinder pressures. This short block assembly includes seasoned EJ257 case halves, JE FSR pistons, and Outfront Motorsports +2mm longer Tuff connecting rods paired with ARP 2000 bolts. It is further equipped with King performance bearings and a new OEM Subaru 2017+ STI nitride-treated crankshaft. The assembly includes rear covers, a rear seal, and pin plugs, and requires no core exchange. All units are built in-house in a clean-room environment to maintain strict quality control. The process includes boring and honing using torque plates, with all tolerances verified before final assembly. The unit is rated to handle up to 775 BHP in this configuration, though custom builds are available for varying power goals.
