The Nitron elec-TRON R3 coilover kit is a specialized suspension upgrade for the E90 and E92 BMW M3 and M3 GTS (2007-2013). This advanced system merges Nitron’s proportional solenoid valve electronic damping control with independent manual compression adjustment, allowing for simultaneous tuning of both active and mechanical damping. Each shock is equipped with its own solenoid valve, managed directly through the vehicle’s existing Electronic Damping Control (EDC) system in real-time, eliminating the need for an additional controller. The elec-TRON R3 offers flexibility with both coilover and divorced rear suspension configurations to suit different build requirements. The front units feature piggyback reservoirs, while the rear units utilize hose-mounted reservoirs, ensuring accessible independent high and low-speed compression adjustment at all corners. This provides a superior level of tunability compared to purely electronic or purely mechanical kits. Nitron emphasizes bespoke engineering, designing each application around the specific platform of the M3 and M3 GTS, considering its geometry, weight distribution, and suspension travel from the outset. The kit includes droplinks, adjustable top mounts, and race springs, and is hand-made to order. Options for Fast Road Spec (FRS) and Track Day Spec (TDS) spring rates are available, with custom rates also offered. It is important to note that this kit is not compatible with E93 Convertible models; it is designed exclusively for Coupe and Sedan variants.
