Electric Fuel Pump

The Bosch 0 580 254 044 is a widely recognized and highly regarded inline electric fuel pump, often referred to as the "Bosch 044." It has been a staple in performance automotive applications, utilized by Japanese, European, and Australian tuner shops, as well as in professional racing series such as JGTC, Touring cars, and WRC. This high-performance pump is capable of delivering a substantial 300 LPH (300 Liters Per Hour) of flow at free flow conditions and maintains 200 LPH at 5 bar (approximately 72.5 psi). Under specific operating parameters (12V, 3 bar base fuel pressure, 2 bar boost pressure, 1:1 fuel pressure regulator ratio), it can support engines up to 685 BHP. For comparison, the Walbro GSS341 255 pump supports around 390 BHP at high pressure. The unit features an M18x1.5 inlet and an M10 X 1.0 outlet, with electrical connections for positive M6 and negative M5 terminals. Its dimensions are 196mm in length and 60mm in diameter, with a weight of 1030 grams (2.27 pounds). Bosch's advanced turbine pump design offers significant advantages over older roller-cell and inner-gear designs, including near-silent operation, improved drivability, reduced wear, and an extended service life. It is recommended that these inline pumps be installed between an in-tank fuel pump and the fuel rail, though installation within the fuel tank is possible with custom fabrication. Connecting an additional pump in series can further increase the output.
