The Mopar 5149168AI is a genuine Mopar electrical ignition coil, engineered for direct replacement. This new component is manufactured to meet stringent OE specifications, ensuring proper fit, form, and function for reliable performance. This ignition coil is compatible with a wide range of Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles equipped with the 3.6L V6 engine, as well as select models with the 3.2L engine. Specific fitments include the Chrysler 200 (2011-2017), Chrysler 300 (2012-2019), Chrysler Town & Country (2012-2016), Dodge Avenger (2011-2014), Dodge Challenger (2012-2019), Dodge Charger (2012-2019), Dodge Durango (2011-2015), Dodge Grand Caravan (2012-2019), Dodge Journey (2011-2018), and Jeep Cherokee (2014-2019). Installation involves removing engine covers, disconnecting the negative battery cable, detaching the electrical connector, and removing the bolt securing the coil. For some engines, such as the 2.7L/3.5L V6, removal of the upper intake manifold may be necessary. The process is the reverse of removal for installation. Regular inspection of ignition coils is recommended. This includes cleaning the coils with a damp cloth, ensuring they are dry, and inspecting for cracks, damages, or carbon tracking.
