The TCI 4x Four-Speed Automatic Transmission Series adapts popular 4L80E or 700R4 transmissions to non-GM performance applications. Features an SFI-spec adapter bellhousing for installation behind various engines. The electronic overdrive 4L80E-based version includes an adapter flexplate for engine crankshaft and GM torque converter patterns, rated to 875 HP. It can be used with an original GM transmission controller or a TCI EZ-TCU. The fully mechanical 700R4-based version (available in 550 HP and 750 HP) includes an adapter flexplate, transmission cooler, dipstick, and hardware, designed for street rodders. Application-specific 700R4 kits use a Constant Pressure Valve Body to eliminate the need for a TV cable. Its compact design fits most applications without tunnel modifications.
