Overview

The Ksport EDCMD080 Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit is designed for vehicles with electronically regulated factory dampers. This kit prevents service lights, error messages, and potential ECU damage that can occur when upgrading to aftermarket suspension systems. It effectively cancels the factory electronic damper signal without affecting other ECU functions.
Show original supplier description
The Ksport EDCMD080 Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit is a crucial component for any vehicle equipped with factory-electronic dampers that is undergoing an aftermarket suspension upgrade, such as coilovers. When these electronic dampers are replaced, the vehicle's ECU may not recognize the new components, leading to dashboard warning lights, error messages, and the risk of ECU damage. This kit provides a clean and effective solution by cancelling the factory electronic damper signal. The primary benefit is the elimination of suspension trouble codes, preventing unsightly dashboard warnings and ensuring the vehicle's systems function as intended. Furthermore, it safeguards the ECU from potential failure that could arise from unrecognized damper component coding. Importantly, the kit only cancels the factory damper signal, leaving all other ECU functions fully active and unaffected, ensuring no unintended consequences for the vehicle's electronics. The Ksport EDCMD080 offers broad compatibility, working seamlessly with Ksport suspension systems as well as various other aftermarket brands and even OEM suspension setups. This makes it a recommended companion for a worry-free installation, ensuring a smooth transition to your new suspension without compromising the vehicle's onboard electronics.
