Overview

The Ksport EDCCA020 is an electronic damping cancellation kit designed to address issues that arise when upgrading a vehicle's suspension. When a Ksport suspension system is installed, or other aftermarket suspensions on vehicles with electronically regulated dampers, service lights, error messages, or even ECU failure can occur. This kit eliminates those trouble codes by canceling the factory damper signal, preventing ECU failure and ensuring the electronic control unit remains functional. It is compatible with Ksport suspension systems as well as various other brands and OE suspensions.

Show original supplier description

The Ksport EDCCA020 Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit is engineered to solve a common problem encountered after upgrading a vehicle's suspension system. When aftermarket suspension components, such as Ksport's own coilovers, are installed on vehicles equipped with electronically regulated dampers, the factory ECU may not recognize the new parts. This incompatibility can lead to dashboard warning lights, error messages, and in some cases, potential ECU failure. This kit effectively cancels the factory damper signal, thereby preventing these error codes and safeguarding the vehicle's ECU from damage. The Electronic Damping Cancellation Kit works seamlessly with Ksport suspension systems, as well as many other aftermarket brands and even original equipment manufacturer (OEM) suspensions that utilize electronic dampers. The vehicle's Electronic Control Unit (ECU) remains fully functional, with only the factory damper signal being bypassed. This specific part, the EDCCA020, is designed for the Cadillac CTS models from 2008 to 2013. Fitment includes various trims and drive types such as Base AWD for both 2008 and 2013 model years. While the product page states it fits a "ton of vehicles," customers are encouraged to use the search bar to verify compatibility for their specific vehicle if it is not explicitly listed in the provided examples.
