The Sprint Booster SBAC1013S is an aftermarket electronic module designed to overcome the delayed throttle response common in vehicles equipped with electronic throttle control (ETC) systems. By plugging directly between the accelerator pedal and the Engine Control Unit (ECU), this device continuously measures and converts the digital signal, providing the ECM with an altered signal for enhanced acceleration. Unlike conventional throttle systems connected by a cable, ETC systems rely on sensors and electronic signals, which can sometimes lead to lag due to factors like pedal sensitivity and traction control systems. Sprint Booster aims to increase pedal input sensitivity and deliver more impressive off-the-line performance. This electronic throttle control module offers significant improvements in responsiveness, with Sport mode providing a 30% improvement and Race mode offering a 60% improvement. Each mode features sub-programs allowing drivers to tailor the response to their specific driving style. The Sprint Booster SBAC1013S is tuned for automatic transmissions and includes advanced features such as Pedal Lock, which disables acceleration, and Valet Mode, which limits acceleration in three stages (55%, 65%, and 75%). Installation is a straightforward plug-and-play process, connecting directly to the pedal. The unit comes with 36 acceleration programs, 18 for manual and 18 for automatic transmissions, ensuring optimized performance for various driving preferences. It does not alter the vehicle's fuel or ignition systems, focusing solely on optimizing the throttle signal. The Sprint Booster is specifically designed for the 2014-2016 Acura MDX and the 2013-2019 Acura RDX models.
