The Genuine MINI throttle housing/body is a direct replacement part for vehicles experiencing issues with their throttle position sensors, often indicated by a check engine light. These sensors are critical for controlling vital engine functions through the engine computer. If your vehicle is reporting throttle position errors, replacing the throttle body assembly is a common solution. This component includes the electronic throttle sensor and assembly. When replacing a faulty throttle body, it's important to note that the throttle body backing rubber seal will also be needed. Additionally, after installation, the adaptation values stored in the DME control unit must be reset. This throttle housing/body is specifically designed for various MINI Cooper models, primarily those with the L4 1.6L W10B16A engine, including chassis codes R50 and R52, across model years from 2002 to 2008. Always use the vehicle selector to confirm exact fitment for your specific vehicle.
