The Fab9 Elite Performance Intake Manifold is engineered as a premium upgrade for the Mazda MX-5 NC (Mk3), aimed at optimizing airflow and unlocking hidden power. It employs advanced resonance tuning, a technique that harnesses pressure waves within the intake system to enhance efficiency and maximize power delivery across a wider RPM range. This intake manifold has been developed through sophisticated mathematical modeling and extensive real-world testing, striking a refined balance between peak performance and practical, everyday usability. Unlike stock manifolds that can restrict airflow at higher RPMs, the Fab9 Elite design is focused on delivering consistent power gains throughout the entire rev range. Its robust aluminum construction features velocity stack runners, a two-piece runner and plenum design, and a 70mm throttle body opening, complemented by four ORB fittings. It also includes an OEM MAP flange and RTV gasket maker for installation. The Fab9 Elite Performance Intake Manifold is available for various engine options, including 1.5L, 1.6L, 1.8L, and 2.0L variants of the MX-5 NC. Customers can also choose between a Texture Black or Raw Aluminium finish, and opt to include a Bosch 68mm throttle body. Installation may require careful engineering of new hose routings for evap, coolant, fuel, and PCV systems to avoid chafing, as noted by users.
