eMMOTION Lowering Springs

The Emmanuele Design eMMOTION lowering spring kit (EMD-MQB-LS3) is engineered for the Audi A3 and S3 8V models, aiming to provide the aesthetic benefits of a lowered vehicle without the harsh ride quality often associated with aftermarket lowering springs. Developed with the daily driver in mind, this kit leverages Emmanuele Design's experience with the MQB platform, including testing on their in-house S3 and MK7 GTI. Utilizing a linear spring design, similar to OEM specifications, these springs feature unique rates that are specifically matched to the factory dampers. This ensures a ride quality that remains slightly stiffer than stock, offering predictable handling and improved control. Each spring set is manufactured in the USA from high tensile chrome silicon, a material chosen for its ability to withstand repeated deflection without deformation. This allows for a lighter spring with thinner coil diameters compared to standard commercial chrome silicon. The springs undergo shot peening, pre-setting, and individual testing to verify critical dimensions and load rates are within tolerance. For durability and aesthetics, they are zinc-coated for corrosion resistance and finished with a gloss black powdercoat, providing an OEM appearance. The approximate lowering amounts vary by model and features: Audi S3 models with Magnetic Ride can expect approximately a 0.5" drop front and rear, while S3 models without Magnetic Ride will see about a 0.75" drop. Audi A3 models without the Sport Package will experience a lower stance of approximately 1.75" front and rear.
