EMU Black Engine Control Unit

It serves as the successor to the well-established ECUMaster EMU, finding its primary use in modified race cars, passenger cars, motorcycles, boats, and stationary engine setups. This advanced ECU boasts sophisticated drive-by-wire throttle control strategies, ensuring a broad range of operation with high reliability and integrated failsafe mechanisms. The EMU Black is designed for longevity and performance, featuring an operating temperature range of AECQ100 Grade 2 (-40 to 105°C), built-in reverse polarity and short circuit protection, and a robust IP 65 rated CNC aluminum housing. Connectivity and communication are streamlined with dual FCI automotive specification electrical connectors (1x24 and 1x39) and versatile PC communication options including USB (via Windows software), serial, and CAN-Bus. It supports up to 12 cylinders in wasted spark configuration with 8 low-side injector outputs (5A protected), 6 ignition outputs (15A rated), and 6 auxiliary outputs (5A protected). The unit also includes 9 analog inputs (0-5V, 10-bit resolution), 2 EGT inputs, 2 knock sensor inputs, and dedicated inputs for a Bosch Lambda probe (LSU 4.2, LSU 4.9 or Narrowband), vehicle speed sensor (Hall/VR), and a flex fuel sensor. Future-proofing is built into the EMU Black through its ease of upgrading firmware, which provides access to new strategies, trigger patterns, and CAN-Bus data streams at no additional cost. PC requirements are minimal, necessitating Windows 2000 or newer, a 1024x768 screen resolution, a 600MHz CPU, and a USB port.
