EMU Classic Engine Management Unit

This unit is designed to control fueling, ignition, and auxiliary systems for engines ranging from 1 to 12 cylinders, with capabilities extending to drive-by-wire throttles and variable valve timing (VVT) through additional modules. Building on the popular EMU, the EMU Classic features several key improvements based on customer feedback, including enhanced ignition outputs that allow for more than one active coil per output, a separate 5V output regulator for external sensors, and highly protected H-Bridges for stepper outputs. It also boasts a galvanic-separated USB port for increased reliability and a more compact, CNC-machined, black anodized enclosure measuring 147x62x30 mm. Technical specifications highlight its robust capabilities: 6 fuel injector outputs (5A, supporting 12 injectors in batch fire), 6 AUX outputs (5A), 6 ignition outputs (7A, supporting up to 12 cylinders), and 4 stepper motor outputs (1A). It includes a built-in Bosch LSU 4.2 wideband O2 controller, an integrated 4-bar MAP sensor, and a built-in barometric pressure sensor. Additional inputs include 4 digital VR/HALL inputs, 3 dedicated analog inputs (TPS, CLT, IAT), and 8 additional analog inputs (0-5V). The EMU Classic is compliant with ISO 7637 standards and supports a maximum RPM of 16,000. This ECU is suitable for a wide range of applications, including modified sports car and racing engines, motorcycles, boats, and stationary engines. It offers advanced features such as launch control, gear-dependent shift lights, flat shift capabilities, PID boost control with advanced strategies, and full Flex Fuel capability with map blending (requires an ethanol content sensor). Logging is available for over 100 parameters. The unit comes with user-friendly software and free firmware upgrades, along with a 24-month warranty.
