Overview

The Energy Manufacturing LS engine block is a billet aluminum block with a 9.750-inch deck height and a 4.125-inch bore. It is constructed from a 490-pound block of high-grade forged 6061 aluminum. The block features rolled thread tapped holes for extra strength and high-strength cylinder liners, with careful attention given to fit and finish. Each semi-finished block is thoroughly heat-treated to T6 standards.

Starting life as a 490-pound block of high-grade forged 6061 aluminum, this block undergoes a rigorous heat treatment process to T6 standards. It features a 9.750-inch deck height and a 4.125-inch bore, making it suitable for a variety of LS engine builds. The attention to fit and finish ensures a quality product ready for assembly. It offers flexible options for cam bore, including 55 mm Babbitt to 60 mm Roller, and lifter bore options ranging from Standard .842 to .937 inches. Additional features include machined chamfers, priority main oiling, and improved lifter gallery cross-over oiling with a restrictor. It also includes high-strength bearing bronze cam thrust retention, standard or raised camshaft positions, 1/2” ARP main studs with cross bolts, 1/2” head stud provisions, and 3/8” outer head stud provisions. The main caps are available in 7075 Aluminum or 4140 Steel. This engine block is listed for Chevy LS vehicle makes, indicating its primary application within the LS engine family.
