Engine Air Filter

The BMC F1 FB546/20 is a direct-fit replacement air filter engineered to enhance engine performance and efficiency. Unlike restrictive OEM paper filters, this BMC filter allows for significantly higher airflow with less than half the pressure drop. Its multi-layer oiled cotton filtration, capable of containing impurities down to 7 microns, provides superior protection compared to paper filters which typically require filtration of particles down to 10 microns. This manufacturing technique results in a single-piece filter without glued corners, which are often a point of failure in other filters. The specialized oil used on the cotton gauze provides a "sticky" characteristic to capture impurities without hindering airflow, ensuring a continuous filtering process. Its efficient filtration and increased air passage contribute to improved horsepower, torque, and potentially better gas mileage. The filter is pre-oiled and can be regenerated using the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
