The BMW Genuine Parts air filter is a critical component of your vehicle's intake system, ensuring that only clean, fresh outside air enters the combustion chamber. By trapping dust, dirt, and other contaminants, this OE-quality filter helps maintain optimal engine performance, fuel efficiency, and reduces emissions. Over time, clogged or moisture-contaminated filters can lead to decreased fuel efficiency, engine misfires, and reduced power. Mahle, the manufacturer of this filter, has been a leader in engine components since 1920, with their parts found in half of all automobiles worldwide. This air filter is made in France and is an exact OE replacement for the BMW branded filter. This air filter is compatible with a wide range of BMW models including the 1 Series (F20, F21), 2 Series (F22, F23), 3 Series (F30, F31, F34), and 4 Series (F32, F33, F36) from approximately 2012-2018, typically with 2.0L or 3.0L L4/L6 engines. However, it is important to note that this filter is NOT for cars with the M Sports Package (P337A), specifically for certain 2014-2016 BMW 328i and 320i models. Always verify fitment with your vehicle's specific configuration.
