The BMW S 1000 RR bodywork kit is a 6-piece racing set crafted from premium carbon-prepreg material by Ilmberger Carbon. This kit prioritizes weight savings, typically achieving a 70% reduction compared to original components, while also offering increased rigidity and a refined design. Each piece is manufactured using the latest autoclave guidelines, utilizing prepreg material and finished with a durable, scratch-resistant clear plastic coating that enhances the visual depth of the carbon weave. This racing bodywork kit is intended for use exclusively with other parts from the carbon racing series and is not compatible with OEM fairing components, meaning there is no positive fit with original parts. For proper installation and function, it is recommended to use this kit only in conjunction with a racing exhaust system. Installation of this kit requires an additional bracket kit, which is sold separately. While the OEM air intake duct can be used, optional carbon or fiberglass air intakes are also available. The kit includes the following components: upper fairing, lower fairing, right and left side fairings, right and left winglets, 15 pre-assembled quick-release fasteners, and 2 closing plugs for the lower part. The total weight of the kit is 2.450 kg. A slight adjustment to the fairing may be necessary when using the large kit radiator.
