Engine Bearings

These bearings feature a high-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for enhanced fatigue properties and hardened steel backs to improve bearing support and retention within the housing. The design includes increased crush for better retention and the elimination of flash plating on the back to improve heat transfer and ensure maximum grip between the bearing and its housing. Additionally, increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPMs and aids in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. The 3/4 grooved main bearings are optimized for load carrying capacity and oil flow to the connecting rod bearings, while tight wall tolerances ensure consistent clearances. Enlarged ID chamfers are included where necessary to accommodate large fillet radii on performance crankshafts. These main bearings are specifically designed for Honda/Acura B18C1 and B18C5 engines, including the 1994-2001 Acura Integra GS-R and the 2000-2001 Acura Integra Type-R.
