Overview

The Chevrolet Performance 19170538 is a new Gen VI bare iron block designed for building 427 or 454 big block engines. It features a 4.250" finished bore, heavy-duty 4-Bolt main caps, and a machined fuel pump pad for mechanical fuel pumps. The block also incorporates new water jacket designs for Mark IV or Gen VI heads, a lifter valley machined for factory-designed hydraulic roller lifter retaining system, reinforced main webs, and machined clutch bosses for older style manual transmissions and clutch linkage.
