The Comp Cams Engine Break-In Oil Additive (12 oz. bottle) is formulated to safeguard your new or rebuilt engine during its crucial break-in period. Modern "off-the-shelf" motor oils often lack the necessary zinc and other additives required for proper engine component protection. This additive supplements standard oils with a proprietary blend of extreme pressure additives, including optimal amounts of ZDDP (Zinc and Phosphorus), Molybdenum, and detergents. This specialized formula improves the surface mating of critical internal engine parts such as the rotating assembly, rod journals, piston rings, valve guides, camshaft, and lifters. It provides comprehensive protection for both flat tappet and roller valve trains, ensuring the longevity of all moving parts within your engine. It can be mixed with any petroleum, synthetic, or blended motor oil, making it a versatile solution. It is also safe for use with gasoline, methanol, and high-octane race fuels, accommodating a wide range of performance applications.
