It is a guaranteed replacement for all 1998 Ford Explorer PCM models with a 4.0L engine and the matching part number F87F-12A650-AUC. This module belongs to the hardware code ML2-463. The ECM will arrive programmed, flashed, and updated to your vehicle's VIN with the most recent manufacturer updates to help improve performance and fuel economy. If your vehicle is equipped with PATS (Passive Antitheft System), you may need to have your keys reprogrammed by a locksmith or Ford dealer. Otherwise, the unit will be plug and play.

This module, identified by hardware code ML2-463, is refurbished, quality control tested, and programmed with the latest manufacturer updates to enhance your vehicle's performance and fuel economy.
