The General Motors 12200411 is a refurbished Engine Control Module (ECM), also known as a Powertrain Control Module (PCM), designed for a wide range of 2001-03 GM vehicles. This ECM is programmed to your specific Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to ensure compatibility and proper function. Upon purchase, you will need to provide your VIN so the module can be programmed before shipment. The unit has been refurbished and tested for functionality, and comes with a one-year replacement warranty. There is no core charge required; you keep your old ECM. After installation, two procedures may be necessary. First, an anti-theft relearn procedure might be required, which will prevent the vehicle from starting if not performed. Second, a crankshaft variation relearn may be needed once the vehicle is running, indicated by the check engine or service engine soon light illuminating (potentially with trouble code P1336). Instructions for both procedures will be included, and a scan tool capable of performing these relearns will be necessary. If you do not have access to a suitable scan tool, a repair shop can perform these tasks. Flashmasters does not utilize ACDelco Technical Delivery System (TDS) services for any module services.
