The Honda OEM 19301-RNA-315 is a genuine engine coolant thermostat, manufactured by Fuji Seiko and also referred to as Nippon. This part is designed as a direct replacement for the original thermostat and includes the necessary thermostat gasket. It supersedes previous part numbers 19301-RNA-306 and 19301-RNA-305. This thermostat is specifically listed as fitting 2006-2015 Honda Civic models and 2016-2022 Honda HR-V models. When installing, it's important to disconnect the negative battery terminal and drain the cooling system. Access to the thermostat may vary depending on the specific model and engine; for 1.8L engines, access is typically from the top of the engine compartment. The installation process involves removing the thermostat housing cover, replacing the thermostat, and ensuring the jiggle pin is correctly oriented. Following the process, the cooling system should be refilled and checked for leaks.
