The SW-Motech Engine Guard provides essential underbody protection for your KTM 390 Adventure, safeguarding the engine from impacts with rocks and the ground. This guard is engineered with bike-specific development for a perfect fit, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with your motorcycle. It offers enhanced safety and a customized look, particularly useful when riding off-road, but also providing an extra layer of security on paved surfaces. The guard is constructed from a durable aluminum alloy with a brushed finish, measuring 0.30 cm in thickness and weighing approximately 1.9 kg. Mounting hardware and instructions are included for a complete installation. This engine guard is specifically developed for the KTM 390 Adventure models from 2020 to 2024. It is noted that while it offers robust protection, one user reported that the two-part construction and use of spacers can make maintenance, such as oil changes, more cumbersome. Additionally, it was mentioned that the guard may slightly lower the ground clearance on a bike that is already not very high.
