The King MB5722XPC is a set of replacement engine main bearings designed for Mitsubishi Evo X models. These performance bearings feature King's proprietary pMaxKote(XPC) nano-composite polymer coating, applied over a pMaxBlack overlay. This coating enhances wear resistance, providing superior protection against seizure, cavitation, and oil starvation without altering the bearing's precise wall thickness. King bearings are constructed with a deep layer of Alecular material, an exclusive alloy of aluminum, tin, and copper bonded to a steel backing for superior embedability. The manufacturing process includes stringent quality control, maintaining wall thickness tolerances at an exceptionally tight +/- .0001", far exceeding industry standards. This precision allows for engine rebuilding with borderline crankshaft endplay without requiring additional machining. Key to their performance is the precisely controlled bearing flange length, which aids in managing crankshaft endplay. The pMaxKote coating, containing ceramic nano-composite particles, acts as a fourth protective layer. The bearings are available in Standard Size (MB5722XPC), +0.001"/.026mm Oversize (MB5722XPC.026), and -0.001"/-.026mm Extra Clearance (MB5722XPCSTDX). These main bearings are specifically designed for the 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X models, including the 4B11T CZ4A Evo X GSR and MR variants.
