Overview

The Powerflex PFF5-124 is a polyurethane engine mount bushing designed to stiffen the OE oil-filled engine mount. This upgrade improves throttle response and gear changes by providing greater engine stability. It is compatible with MINI Cooper Gen 1 models from 2001-2006.

The Powerflex PFF5-124 is a polyurethane insert for the MINI Cooper Gen 1 upper engine mount, specifically for R50, R52, and R53 chassis models manufactured between 2001 and 2006. By providing greater engine stability, it leads to improved throttle response and smoother gear changes. This insert is available in a street compound (yellow, 70A durometer) which may result in some added Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH). A race compound (black, 95A durometer) is also available, for which increased NVH is to be expected. The PFF5-124 does not replace the entire engine mount bushing but rather enhances the existing one. This part is also known by associated part numbers PEL PFF5 124, PEL-PFF5-124, PEL.PFF5.124, and PELPFF5124.
