The Powerflex PFF85-505 is a polyurethane engine mount bushing designed for street sport applications, offering an upgrade for Volkswagen and Audi vehicles. This "Street Purple" variant is made from an advanced, proprietary polyurethane compound with 80A durometer, making it approximately 30% stiffer than stock, without causing increased vibration or noise. Engine mounts are critical components that support the engine and transmission, ensuring proper drivetrain alignment and minimizing excessive vibrations within the cabin. Over time, factory mounts degrade, leading to a range of issues such as increased engine noise, noticeable engine rocking during acceleration, braking, or gear changes, and overall drivetrain vibration.
