Engine Oil Drain Valve

The Fumoto F-106 W/LC-10 is a quick oil drain valve designed to simplify and improve the oil change process for a wide range of vehicles, including cars, light trucks, vans, and select commercial engines. Featuring a M14x1.50 thread size and a compact ball valve design, this valve replaces the conventional oil drain plug, offering a cleaner and more efficient way to manage oil changes. Constructed from durable forged brass and stainless steel to exacting Japanese specifications, the F-series valves are built for a lifetime of dependable service. The F-106 utilizes a spring-assisted ball valve mechanism that allows for one-touch operation, eliminating the need to contact hot oil and preventing stripped threads or frozen plugs. This design not only reduces the time required for an oil change but also minimizes mess. Installation is straightforward: remove the original drain plug, drain the oil, and then insert the Fumoto valve with its gasket into the port. It's important not to overtighten. The valve can be opened by lifting the control lever and turning it counter-clockwise 90 degrees, and closed by turning the lever clockwise until locked. The manufacturer also notes that if the valve cannot be tightened fully without hitting the oil pan wall due to a recessed drain hole, adapters may be available or the valve should not be installed. Fumoto offers a lifetime limited warranty on its products, covering faulty workmanship and material to the original purchaser. This warranty does not cover damages from misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidents and is valid in the United States and Canada. While the F-106 is versatile, the N-Series valve (with a nipple for hose attachment) is not recommended for passenger cars with low ground clearance.
