The Mahle Original 40668CP.030 is a set of premium piston rings designed for installer-friendliness, virtually eliminating break-in time due to their pre-lapped nature. These rings optimize reduced friction and extended life through specific materials, coatings, and tension.

Each set features compression rings with a barrel-faced contact area for improved compression and a CNC-controlled gap chamfer to minimize blow-by. Intermediate rings utilize a reverse twist design for enhanced groove side sealing and taper race machining for better contact. The CP-20 oil ring assemblies include a 20-degree ear angle for optimal side seal against the cylinder wall and a special chemical polish for improved oil drain back.
