The Porsche Engine Water Pump is a Genuine Porsche replacement part, ensuring the quality and fitment expected from the original manufacturer. This component is crucial for maintaining proper engine temperature by circulating coolant. Over time, water pumps can develop issues such as a failing internal bearing, which may manifest as noise from the pump pulley shaft or audible squeaking at idle. Symptoms of a failing water pump include coolant leaks from the weep hole, noticeable play at the water pump pulley shaft, squealing noises during operation, engine overheating, and illumination of the low coolant light on the instrument cluster. This particular pump features a composite impeller and is designed as a direct replacement for OE numbers 99710601106, 99710601105, and 99710601102. The water pump gasket, part number 99710634000, is sold separately. This water pump is designed for various Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayman models, primarily from the 997 chassis code era. Compatibility includes specific years and engine displacements such as the 3.6L H6 and 3.8L H6 engines found in Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, and Carrera 4S variants. It fits both automatic and manual transmissions, as well as convertible and coupe body styles across model years including 2005 through 2007.
