The ACDelco 252-901 is a Gold/Professional engine water pump designed to circulate coolant, ensuring optimal engine temperature and performance. This water pump features coated seals for longevity and durability, along with heat-treated shaft assemblies that provide superior strength. The pump itself is constructed from either cast iron or aluminum, depending on the vehicle application, with uniform wall sections and smooth coolant-flow cavities for efficient operation. ACDelco emphasizes thorough testing for reliable, leak-free performance. It's recommended to completely drain and flush the cooling system prior to installation to prevent contamination. Additionally, consider replacing radiator hoses, clamps, the thermostat, and radiator cap as part of routine preventative maintenance to avoid potential engine damage from overheating. This water pump is compatible with GM vehicles and a wide range of non-GM vehicles. It comes with a minimum 12-month warranty.
