This knob features a durable, hand-filled 6-speed Honda gear pattern that is engraved more than 2 millimeters deep, ensuring it will not wear off over time, unlike printed lettering. The knob boasts a carefully crafted profile with a 40mm diameter, a barrel-shaped upper portion, a gently domed top, a tapered bottom, and a total height of 70mm, fitting comfortably in most hands. This unique shape encourages a consistent hand position, which can help train muscle memory for more precise and consistent shifts. Constructed with a stainless steel core, the ESCO-Insulated knob is heavier than typical all-plastic insulated designs, weighing in at 185 grams. Each knob includes a custom stainless steel flange nut for installation. However, if you are using an OEM shift boot collar or an Acuity 1924 shift boot collar, this flange nut may not be necessary. Additionally, a suede storage bag is provided to protect the shift knob when not in use. Buyers should note that on many Honda and Acura models made after 2010, the shift boot clips to the underside of the shift knob. If your vehicle's boot clips directly to the OEM knob, you may require Acuity's shift boot collars to prevent sagging.
