This fluid exceeds all DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 standards and offers an extended service interval, lasting 100% longer than DOT 3, 50% longer than DOT 4, and 10% longer than DOT 5.1.

The Bosch ESI6 brake fluid represents the next evolution in braking technology, engineered to meet the demands of contemporary braking systems. It offers exceptional compatibility, serving as a direct replacement or a versatile choice for vehicles specifying DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 brake fluids. Notably, it excludes compatibility with DOT 5 silicone-based fluids, which are typically reserved for military and racing applications. Engineered for superior performance, the ESI6 fluid boasts an Extended Service Interval (ESI), providing significantly longer service life. It lasts 100% longer than DOT 3, 50% longer than DOT 4, and 10% longer than DOT 5.1 fluid, while also featuring 30% lower viscosity. This combination ensures faster response times for systems like ESP. The fluid's high wet boiling point, around 360°F, minimizes the risk of vapor bubble formation, a primary cause of brake failure, especially under demanding conditions. The wet boiling point is 284°F for DOT 3, 311°F for DOT 4, and 374°F for DOT 5.1, with the ESI6 offering a strong performance across these metrics. This brake fluid exceeds all current DOT standards, including FMVSS 116, and offers excellent lubricity to protect brake system components from wear and reduce noise. It comes in a 32-ounce quart container and is composed of Glycol Ether. The product is not returnable once opened.
