Description

Its superior construction and compounding provide a competitive edge. This particular model, the 3055S, features a stiff sidewall construction. This design element assists in achieving quicker reaction times by minimizing tire distortion under load. The stiff sidewall also makes it a good option for high horsepower applications and for heavier vehicles (over 3,000 lbs). It utilizes the M5 compound, described as a good compound for general use. Key specifications include a 15-inch wheel diameter, an overall tire diameter of 28.1 inches, a tread width of 10.0 inches, and a section width of 11.7 inches. The average roll-out circumference is 88 inches. It is a bias-ply construction tire. Important usage notes include a warning to "DO NOT USE ON DYNO." For all bias drag drive tires, it is crucial that they are matched to be within 1/2 inch roll out. The acceptable practice for rim width, excluding specific ET Street models, is tread width plus or minus one inch.
