The COBB Tuning Flex Fuel Upgrade Kit for VW/Audi vehicles simplifies the integration of Flex Fuel capability with your existing ECU. This comprehensive kit contains an ethanol content sensor with a powder-coated aluminum bracket, a proprietary wiring harness, a fuse tap harness, quick-connect fuel fittings, and an ECU pin locator template and tool, enabling installation in minutes. The OE quality ethanol content sensor is secured via a bespoke bracket and mounted on the passenger side engine mount. It continuously measures the ethanol content in the fuel, sending this data to the ECU for use in a Flex Fuel calibration. This allows your vehicle to dynamically adjust for varying ethanol concentrations in the fuel mixture. This upgrade kit is compatible with USDM models and requires the use of COBB Off-The-Shelf (OTS) Flex Fuel maps or a custom tune from an authorized protuner. COBB provides optimized Stage 1 maps for use with the Ethanol Sensor Kit on a completely stock fuel system, with maximum power typically produced at an E30 blend. Exceeding this concentration may result in a COBB DTC (COB13) and reduced performance, which can be cleared by reducing ethanol content to E30 or lower and resetting the ECU.
